    Dr. Sanjay Konakondla is a board-certified, fellowship-trained neurosurgeon and a global leader in endoscopic spine surgery. As a founding partner of the Endoscopic Spine Institute of New York (ESINY), he has pioneered endoscopic approaches to complex spine conditions, offering patients faster recoveries and better outcomes. He is especially recognized for his international expertise in thoracic disc herniations, awake spine surgery, and ultra-minimally invasive outpatient procedures.

    Prior to founding ESINY, Dr. Konakondla served as the Director of Endoscopic Spine Surgery at the Geisinger Neuroscience Institute and as an Associate Professor at the Geisinger College of Health Sciences. An active innovator, he holds a U.S. patent for advanced endoscopic surgical tools and serves as the President of the International Spinal Endoscopy Research Foundation (iSERF), dedicated to advancing the field of spinal endoscopy worldwide.
